Motorised blinds fitted across wide contemporary glazing

Remote, rechargeable & smart-home options

Motorised blinds Belfast

Motorised blinds make daily control effortless on wide glazing, high windows and rooms with several blinds—without turning the window into a technology experiment.

01

One-touch control

Operate one blind, a room group or a timed routine using a handset, wall control or compatible app setup.

02

Rechargeable options

Many domestic windows can use discreet rechargeable motors without opening walls for a permanent power supply.

03

Specified to the blind

Motor strength, tube, fabric weight and blind width are matched so the movement stays smooth and reliable.

Useful before you buy

Motorisation should solve a real problem

The best motorised blinds quickly become invisible: they open when needed, close together and remove the daily reach or chain-pulling. They are especially useful across bifold doors, tall stairwell windows, roof glazing and wide rooms with several matching blinds.

We start with the window and product, not with an app. A motor cannot rescue an unsuitable blind specification. Size, fabric weight, frequency of use and access for charging or maintenance all matter.

02

Remote control or smart-home connection?

A dedicated handset is often the simplest and most reliable control. It can operate individual blinds and groups without depending on a phone. Smart-home integration can add schedules, scenes and voice control, but compatibility must be checked against the chosen motor and the system already in the home.

We do not promise that every motor speaks to every platform. We define the required control before the order so the equipment arrives with the right route to operate it.

03

Power choices for new and existing rooms

Rechargeable motors suit many retrofit installations and keep visible wiring to a minimum. Mains-powered systems can make sense during renovation or on heavily used, inaccessible blinds. Solar charging may be possible in selected situations. We explain the trade-offs rather than defaulting to the most expensive setup.

Straight answers

Motorised blinds FAQs.

The details that matter before you choose, measure or arrange a visit.

Do motorised blinds need an electrician?

Rechargeable systems usually do not. Permanent mains-powered installations may need an appropriate electrical supply, particularly during building work.

How often do rechargeable blinds need charging?

It varies with blind size, motor, battery capacity and frequency of use. We explain the expected charging routine for the chosen system.

Can motorised blinds work with Alexa or Google Home?

Some systems can connect through a compatible hub or integration. We check the exact platform and control requirement before specifying the motor.

Can existing blinds be motorised?

Occasionally, but retrofitting is not always practical or economical. We need to identify the existing tube, brackets, weight and condition before advising.
