How Vision blinds actually work
A Vision blind uses two layers of striped fabric. As the blind moves, the solid and sheer bands pass each other. Line up the sheer sections to allow filtered light through; overlap the solid sections to increase privacy. The whole blind can also be raised like a roller blind.
They are sometimes called day-and-night or zebra blinds. The names vary, but the decision is the same: whether the layered effect suits the room and delivers the privacy level you expect.
Good-looking, but not magic
Vision blinds provide flexible control, but they are not a substitute for a tightly enclosed blackout system. Even with the opaque bands aligned, light may remain at the edges and between the fabric layers. We would rather explain that before the order than let a bedroom promise become an expensive disappointment.
They are strongest in living rooms, dining areas, offices and street-facing rooms where filtered daytime privacy matters more than total darkness.

Are Vision blinds the same as day-and-night blinds?+
Vision is a widely used name for the layered day-and-night style. Both describe alternating sheer and opaque bands that slide past one another.
Can people see through Vision blinds at night?+
With the opaque bands fully overlapped, privacy is much greater. However, exact results depend on fabric, fit and internal lighting, so we show and explain the chosen material.
Are Vision blinds blackout?+
Generally no. Some fabrics darken a room well, but the layered construction and edge gaps mean they should not be sold as total blackout.
Can Vision blinds be motorised?+
Some systems can. Window size, fabric and control preference determine whether motorisation is sensible for the installation.
